Chasing dreams at full speed
Welcome to my journey! I'm Izzie Hayden, and I invite you to explore my world of barrel racing, academic pursuits, and passion for horses. Discover how my dedication to the arena and my studies is shaping my path to becoming a professional barrel racer and equine veterinarian.
My journey
I wasn’t raised in the rodeo world, so every skill I have acquired has been built from the ground up — and there’s still a whole lot more to learn. Born and raised in Lyons, Colorado, I've had a passion for animals for as long as I can remember. My mom could never get me out of my cowgirl boots, and honestly, nothing’s changed.
I’m currently working hard to level up my competitive edge as I move toward my dream of becoming a professional barrel racer. Every day in the arena is a step closer to achieving my professional goals.
This sport is where I belong and I am just getting started!
Goals and aspirations
I'm studying at Colorado State University and am a competing member on the their rodeo team, chasing big goals. I am making a push this year to win in big and small arenas. Alongside rodeo, I’m majoring in biology with plans to attend vet school and become an equine veterinarian. Horses have shaped my life in every way, and I want a career that keeps me close to them both in and out of the arena.
