Meet my teammates

In barrel racing, the bond between rider and horse is everything. My equine partners are more than just athletes; they are family, friends, and the heart of my journey. Get to know the horses who make every run unforgettable.

Disney: where it all began

Disney is the horse who first introduced me to the world of barrel racing. Borrowed from a kind family friend, Disney taught me the ropes and ignited a passion that continues to drive me. She showed me what was possible and laid a solid foundation for every step I’ve taken since. Every successful run, every challenge overcome, started with Disney. She will always hold a special place in my heart as my first barrel racing partner.

Delta: my heart horse

Delta was the first horse I bought, and from the moment we met, I knew she was special. I believed it was important for me to start with a green horse — to learn the process from the ground up, to respect the animal, and to understand the work, patience, and responsibility that go into training a horse from the very beginning. That decision shaped me. Working with Delta taught me discipline, humility, and a work ethic that only comes from showing up every day and earning progress inch by inch.

She quickly became my heart horse, teaching me about dedication, resilience, and the profound connection between horse and rider. Every challenge we faced built character; and built a strong level of trust. Our journey together has been filled with countless lessons, shared victories, and unwavering trust. delta reminds me of the humbleness needed, and every moment with her reinforces why I love this sport.

A-Game: leveling up

A‑Game is my newest partner, with him I am taking barrel racing to the professional level. This horse brings incredible talent and a competitive spirit, and I’m excited about the future we’re building. With every practice and every competition, we’re forging a deeper understanding and pushing our limits. Last season proved exactly what he’s made of: a true winner with the consistency and grit to back it up. He was the Champion and twice Reserve Champion at the Steamboat PRCA, took 1st place in Leoti, Kansas, 2nd in Kremmling, 3rd in Garden City, Kansas, and 2nd in Keenesburg. And at every jackpot he entered in 2025, he placed solidly in the 1D. With a record like that, I believe A‑Game will be instrumental in helping me achieve my dream of becoming a professional barrel racer.

The unbreakable bond of trust and commitment

A horse-rider partnership in barrel racing isn’t just teamwork; it’s a serious, hard-earned bond built on trust, commitment, and absolute belief in one another. Barrel racing demands split-second decisions, explosive speed, and precision so tight that the smallest hesitation can cost the run. That’s why the relationship between rider and horse becomes something deeper than sport.

The rider has to trust that their horse will dig in around each barrel, stay balanced, and give everything they’ve got. The horse has to trust that the rider’s cues are clear, fair, and meant to keep them safe while pushing them to their best. That kind of trust doesn’t appear overnight. It’s shaped through early mornings in the arena, miles of conditioning, moments of frustration, and the quiet victories no one else sees.

What makes this bond so powerful is that both partners choose it every day. The rider commits to understanding their horse’s quirks, fears, strengths, and limits. The horse commits to listening, trying, and running with heart. When they enter the alleyway, it’s not just an athlete and an animal — it’s a partnership built on countless shared hours and an unspoken promise:

I’ve got you, and we’re doing this together.
